Maintlytics
FAQ

Questions, answered.

Don't see yours? Ask us.

Which CMMS does it work with?

It reads PMware's reports directly — the completed work-order report, the open work-order list, shift schedules, MTBF/MTTR pages, and the equipment and PM lists, saved as web pages. Other systems can bring their work orders in as a CSV export. If you use something else, ask us.

Do my techs have to do anything differently?

No. They keep closing work orders in the CMMS as they do today. Someone saves a few report pages — weekly, or daily for the open list — and the hub imports them on its own.

Where does my data live?

On a Mac in your plant. iPhones and iPads sync through your own iCloud account. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Does it need the internet?

No. Everything works on the plant network. The internet is only used if you choose iCloud sync for phones away from the plant, or the optional AI drafting.

Can it be reached from outside the plant?

Not unless you set that up. By default the web board and phones on the plant Wi-Fi talk to the hub directly, and it asks for an access key.

How do I know the numbers are right?

Every import is followed by 116 automatic self-checks. Counts are cross-checked between reports, every number opens to the work orders behind it, and Data health lists any record that could throw a number off.

How long does setup take?

An afternoon: install the hub, save your first set of report pages, set your production lines and crew calendar. Your history comes in with the first import.

What does it run on?

Windows PCs (the Windows app) and any modern browser on the plant network; any TV with a browser for the shop-floor board; iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch apps with widgets and Siri. The hub runs on a Mac in the plant today.

Do we need Apple devices?

No. Planners and supervisors can work from Windows PCs or any browser on the plant network, and the floor board runs on any TV with a browser. Today the hub itself runs on one Mac in the plant. iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches are optional — they add Siri, widgets and the full app in your pocket.

Does it work with Siri and Apple Intelligence?

Yes, on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Ask Siri things like “How's Line 2 in Maintlytics?” or “What needs attention in Maintlytics?”. Apple Intelligence understands questions in your own words on the device, and the answer always comes from your plant's checked numbers.

Can it use our own job-plan format?

Yes. Import your existing Word job plans as they are, and new plans are written in the same layout.

What about AI?

It's optional. The planner can ask an AI model to draft a root-cause analysis or a job plan from your history; you choose the model, and a person checks it before anything is acted on.
